Abstract

1281397 Lifting cradles NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 11 Nov 1970 [19 Nov 1969] 56709/69 Heading B8H A cradle for use in lifting a slab 48, which may be an L-shaped panel, Fig. 1 (not shown), comprises a portion 12, provided with a lifting toe 18 and adjustably mounted on a frame 14 which is provided with a gripping head 36 and with spaced plates 22 formed with an opening provided with alternative recesses 24 for the reception of a lift link, Fig. 5(L), (not shown). The frame 14 consists of a pair of spaced, parallel A-frames, connected by cross-members 44, 46 and between which the portion 12 is located, the portion 12 being connected to a screw-jack 16 which is connected to a pin 95 passing through one of a series of bushings 56 in the frame 14.
