Abstract

Combing-machines.-In a combing-machine of the Nasmith type, the cushion plate B and nipper knife A are adjusted relatively to the comb cylinder by means of a screw E carried in a bracket near the top of the rocking-lever D, which supports the cross-bar F carrying the nipper mechanism. The screw E passes through a lug F<1> on the cross-bar, which is clamped by a screw H passing through a slot D<3> in the lever D.
