Combing-machines.-In a Nasmith combing- machine, the feed-roller c is provided with the usual trunnion levers i, which are weighted by levers g, one end of which bears on the levers i, and the other end of which is connected to a spring d. The spring is connected to a rod provided at its end with a V-piece k bearing against a stationary bracket m supported at its lower end by the frame. The trunnion lever may have an extension to which the spring is attached directly.
