Rotary apparatus. - In apparatus for effecting intimate contact between liquids and gases of the kind described in Specifications 18129/08 and 7958/13, the rotating trays c are provided with tubes f, which pick up liquid from the chamber a and spray it above the level of the tray, the portions of the tubes above the tray being preferably flattened, splayed, and perforated. The tubes may be made of various forms and may be perforated so as to spray the liquid within or below or both within and below the tray.
