Abstract

1275750 Screen printing apparatus J F BOWER 7 Aug 1969 [1 July 1968] 31401/68 Heading B6C Screen carrier 22 is mounted on parallel links 24, 26, pivoted on frame 14, and is moved by them between a prrinting position in which a screen carried by it is in contact with an article to be printed on table 10 and a raised inoperative position. Both screen carrier 22 and any screen carried by it remain horizontal throughout. Locating pins 32 ensure registration and vertical adjustment of frame 14 by jacks 16 accomodates articles to be printed of varying thicknesses. The screen carrier 22 may carry a secondary screen carrier, in which a printing screen is mounted, and the secondary screen carrier may be slideable or pivoted relative to carrier 22. Cylindrical or conical articles may be mounted on horizontal or inclined rollers on table 10 and printed by movement of the screen. Several ink colours may be printed through a screen at one time, as it is always horizontal, so as to make possible rainbow effects.
