1296299 Transporting web rolls G STUMPF 30 June 1971 [21 Aug 1970] 30727/71 Heading B8R Apparatus for transporting a web roll 16, e.g. of cloth, to a machine such as a folder comprises a horizontally-extending plate 2 secured to a wheeled lifting device 1, lifting and lowering of the plate 2 being effected electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically, and a carriage 4 which is mounted on guide rollers 3 for horizontal movement along the plate 2, the carriage being provided with two projecting arms 6 which can be adjusted relatively to each other to support web rolls of various widths.
