Abstract

1275328 Cam followers GENERAL MOTORS CORP 21 May 1970 [23 May 1969] 24591/70 Heading F2K [Also in Division F1] A rocker lever for I.C. engine valve gear is formed in two parts 14 and 20 to be mounted for relative angular movement on a rocker shaft 24. An hydraulic clearance adjuster 38 is interposed between the parts 14 and 20. The wrought or malleable iron part 14 is mounted by a bearing eye (22), Fig. 2 (not shown), on the shaft 24 between a pair of bearing eyes (32, 34) on the aluminium or aluminium alloy part 20 having a cam contacting seat 42 of wear resistant material.
