Abstract

1386948 I C engine valve gear GEC DIESELS Ltd 16 March 1972 [18 Dec 1970 26 March 1971] 60148/70 and 7903/71 Heading F1B [Also in Division F2] A rocker 1 journalled on a cylindrical or partcylindrical bearing member 6 slidably mounted on a stud 3 is engageable at one end with a valve operating member, e.g. a push rod 10 or a cam, and at the other end 28 with a valve stem 9. The rocker 1 is prevented from rotating about the stud 3 by a retaining member 29 on the valve stem with spring arms 32 engaging the sides of the rocker, by engagement of the bearing member 6 with a pin or pins 13 extending from the engine body or by engagement of adjacent ends of two bearing members (23, 24), Fig. 6 (not shown) of adjacent rockers with each other.
