1,075,011. I. C. engine valve gear. BAYERISCHE MOTOREN WERKE A.G. Aug. 19, 1964, No. 33973/64. Heading F1B. In an I. C. engine having overhead valves disposed in "V" arrangement in which the valves 2, 3 are driven from a vertically-arranged camshaft 11 through cam-followers 6, push rods 5 and rockers 4, the pressure points on each rocker arm lie in the plane of the respective valve stem, the respective cam-follower moves in an intersecting plane normal to the cam axis and the point of contact of the push rod and cam-follower lie in both planes during at least a part of the movement of the cam mechanism. The cam-shaft is driven from the crank-shaft through bevel gears (8), (9) Fig. 3 (not shown).
