Producers.-To produce water gas or oil gas continuously in a generator, the ashes are removed by melting bv means of blasts of dry air introduced into the incandescent fuel by nozzles, and steam or vapours of heavy or light oils or tar, or both, are introduced into the producer through nozzles which are arranged in one or more rows above the dry-air nozzles.
