Abstract
210,356. Trevers, M. W., and Clark, F. W., June 29, 1923. Addition to 198,777. Producers; producer plant.-In a complete gasification process as described in the parent Specification according to which water gas is passed through a distillation retort in the upper part of the producer structure a portion of the resulting gases being passed through a heat regenerator heated by the blow gases and again led into the retort, a part of the gas which has been regeneratively heated is passed through a chamber heated by the blow gases and into which oil is introduced the gas being thereby enriched. The blow gases from the producer B heat the regenerator D and carburettor E, air for combustion being introduced at inlets W, Y. During the run the water gas enters the coal charge in the chamber A and the gas mixture passes through a scrubber K and' condenser L to a main H. Some of this gas is forced by a fan g to the top of the regenerator D through which it passes and part enters the carbonization chamber A and part passes through the carburettor E to which oil is supplied from a pipe X, the enriched gas being treated in a wash box M and cooler O before reaching the main H.
