Abstract

1,271,697. Surgical operating supports. JARNHS. ELEKTRISKA A.B. 1 July, 1969 [17 July, 1968], No. 33208/69. Heading A5R. [Also in Division A4] An operating table comprises a main body support part 1 and leg support members 12, 13 connected to slides 19, 18 slideable along a support arm 6, arm 6 being carried by a slide 5 slideable transversely along the table part 1 slide 5 is operated by a threaded rod 8 and crank handle 9. Foot supports 10a, 11a are universally adjustable on arms 10, 11 pivoted on a bracket 17 slideable along arm 6. Leg members 12, 13 are connected to slides 19, 18 by vertically adjustable angle members 12a, 13a. Means are provided to lock parts 17, 18, 19 in adjusted positions on arm 6. Table part 1 is vertically adjustable on a pedestal (3) by hydraulic means, and an extension 2 of part 1 can be slid beneath part 1 by a handle 14 after removal of the mattress (20). Extension 2 may then be replaced by a smaller body support (16, Fig. 3, not shown) which can be locked in its adjusted position along arm 6.
