Abstract

1,270,225. Threshing machines. DEERE & CO. 23 July, 1970 [25 July, 1969], No. 35722/ 70. Heading A1F. The stepped feed-platform 22, 24 of a threshing machine is mounted in a frame 26 connected to rocking levers 28, and leads to a winnowing mechanism, at least part of the feed-platform being removable for cleaning or replacement through the flap 46 towards the front of the machine. The feed-platform 22, 24 can either by constructed in one piece or subdivided into several sections 30, so disposed that they can be fixed individually on the supporting frame 26. The sections 30 are of U-shape cross-section, and are held in place by the flap 46 or similar device at the forward end of the frame 26. In operation, the conveyor 18 is pivoted upwards about 16, the flap 46 is opened, and the sections 30 can then be taken out individually for cleaning or replacing. The sections 30 can be made of metal, wood or plastics.
