Abstract
1,269,916. Oxide coated Fe-Cr-Al alloy. TOYO KOGYO CO. Ltd and TOKYO SHIBAURA ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. June 24, 1970 [June 25, 1969], No.30658/70. Heading C7A. An alloy comprising the balance, apart from impurities such as up to 0À6% Mn and up to 0À5% Si, being Fe is heated in an oxidizing atmosphere at 1000-1400C. to form an oxide layer mainly consisting of α-Al 2 O 3 . The product may be used in vehicle exhaust afterburners.
