Abstract

1,267,925. Discharging liquids by gaseous pressure. BOWATER PACKAGING Ltd. Oct. 13, 1969 [Oct. 11, 1968], No.48319/68. Heading F1R. Liquid discharge apparatus comprises a rigid vessel 1, with a detachable lid including an inlet for pressurized fluid 13, a safety valve 17, a pressure relief valve 19 and an outlet 15 which has a tube 5, leading into a bag 9 for containing the liquid, disposed within a case 11. A loose fitting spout 7 connects the inside of the bag 9 and the outside of the case 11. The case 11 and bag 9 are placed in the vessel 1 and pressurized fluid is introduced via a non-return valve in inlet 13 to discharge the liquid. Clamps (not shown) hold the lid in place when the rigid vessel is pressurized. The tube 5 may be located in a cork fitted in spout 7, in which case a gas pipe from inlet 13 passes through the cork and also communicates with the interior of the vessel 1.
