Abstract
1422658 Discharging liquids by gaseous pressure RCA CORPORATION 13 April 1973 [24 April 1972] 17797/73 Heading F1R A container for liquid and a pressurizing gas e.g. for storing a propellant on a spacecraft, has means to cause the liquid to flow to an outlet in low or zero gravity conditions. The container has an inlet 26 and an outlet 16 and capillary means comprising baffles 12 which extend inwardly from and along the inner wall, to the outlet 16 from an opposite wall portion and increase in radial width towards the outlet 16. Secondary baffles 14 may also be provided and these also increase in radial width towards the outlet 16. A screen 18 prevents gas mixed with the liquid passing to the outlet.
