Abstract

1,070,988. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. R.H. MACY & Co. Inc. and D. CHAUCER. Feb.18, 1965, No. 6979/65. Heading F1R. A pressurized dispensing container assembly for separately storing two liquids, e.g. polymers for resin adhesives, lacquers, foamants, and epoxy-polyester and urethane paints, and discharging the liquids together as a mixture, comprises a first container 12 for a first liquid under low pressure, e.g. atmospheric, and a second container 14 for a second liquid and a gaseous propellant under high pressure, there being interengageable valves 33, 56 in the base and top of the first and second containers, respectively, which are opened when the two containers are connected together, so that the second liquid and propellant gas pass into the first container 12, and the mixture is dischargeable from the first container 12 as a spray on operation of a dispensing valve 19 thereon. The containers are connected by threaded sleeves 36, 58. Dip tubes 22, 69 are provided on the dispensing valve 19 of the first container and the connecting valve 56 of the second container, and each has an aperture 23, 69' at its upper end for entrainment of gas during passage of liquid therethrough.
