126,783. Meyer, L. O. May 14, 1918. Heating by electricity. -- Liquid contained in a vacuum - jacketed vessel is heated by means of a submerged electrical heating appliance. Preferably the heater is of the kind described in Specification 11144/15. The invention is applicable to cooking- utensils and to other purposes. Fig. 1 shows a vacuum flask 1, containing an electric heater 6 carried by the closure 4. A pipe 10 leading to a drip collector 11 permits the escape of steam.
