Abstract
1,265,735. Ball mills. EDWARDS & JONES Ltd. 9 Oct., 1970 [30 Oct., 1969], No. 53111/ 69. Heading B2A. A rotatable mill cylinder A has a cooling jacket or jackets B and double-skinned end walls C, Cl communicating with passages through a coupling D and end trunnions E, N. In one embodiment, liquid enters at H, flows via a passage V along the trunnion E, thence, via passages K and L, through the jacket B the passages L I and flows out of an outlet M through the opposite end trunnion N. The mill is driven by an electric motor G, reduction gearbox F and the flexible or rigid coupling D, and employs the usual change of balls (not shown).
