Abstract
1,265,491. Compost comprising water-insoluble salt containing boron. FISONS Ltd. 29 July, 1969 [13 Aug., 1968], No. 38661/68. Heading C1B. A propagating compost comprises a substantially loam-free plant growth medium (such as peat, sand, vermiculite, perlite or polystyrene) and a relatively water-insoluble salt containing boron in the anion, e.g. calcium tetraborate, calcium borate or magnesium borate. Fertilizers also may be present and specified materials are potassium nitrate, sulphate and chloride, triple superphosphate, monoammonium phosphate, potassium metaphosphate, ammonium nitrate and sulphate, urea-formaldehyde resins, hoof and horn, dried blood, limestone and trace elements (Fe, Cu, Mo, Mg).
