Abstract

1,155,327. Compost. FISONS FERTILIZERS Ltd. 11 Sept., 1967 [21 Sept., 1966], No. 42062/66. Heading C1B Peat containing at least 20% of water is admixed with 5-20% (based on dry peat) of other compost-forming ingredients, the mixture dried to a moisture content of 3-20%, and compressed into tablets at a pressure of 0À1-5 tons/sq. inch. Each tablet may be in the shape of a disc which fits into the base of a pot and expands on wetting to fill the pot. The peat may be sphagnum moss peat containing at least 60% of water which has been milled to a particle size of less than # inch. Other ingredients may be magnesium limestone, chalk; ammonium phosphate, nitrate, sulphate; potassium phosphate, nitrate, sulphate; triple superphosphate; urea-formaldehyde; hoof, horn, dried blood; sand.
