Abstract

1295097 Granulating ammonium phosphate FISONS Ltd 19 Feb 1970 [6 March 1969] 11927/69 Heading C1B Granular fertilizers containing ammonium phosphate are prepared by granulating particulate material containing ammonium phosphate having an initial N : P atomic ratio in the range of 0À8 : 1 to 0À95 : 1 in the presence of water at an elevated temperature and treating with ammonia during the granulation. The process is preferably carried out in a rotating drum. Optional ingredients specified are ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate, ammonium sulphate, urea, potassium metaphosphate, phosphate rock, superphosphates, potassium chloride, potassium sulphate, trace elements and fillers.
