Abstract

1,265,294. Injection moulds. CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE A.G. 8 July, 1970 [10 July, 1969], No. 33096/70. Heading B5A. In an injection mould comprising at least two mould plates 1, 2 defining a mould cavity 4, the abutting sealing surfaces 10 of the mould plates are arranged at an inclination to the parting plane of the mould. As shown, for moulding a sealing gaiter for a brake cylinder, the mould comprises three plates 1, 2, 3 and the mould cavity 4 can be evacuated through a passage 8 and vent 9. Injection is effected through an opening 7 and passage 6. Ejection of the moulded article is effected by an ejector 5a. Sealing surfaces are formed at 11, 12 similar to the surface 10. Fig. 2 (not shown) shows a plan view of a multi-cavity mould.
