Abstract

1,149,160. Injection moulds, CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE A.G. 24 Nov., 1967 [26 Jan., 1967], No. 53530/67. Heading B5A. In a vulcanizing mould for use in injection moulding, separation of the two parts 1, 2 of the mould is minimized by employing a blocklike insert member 6 having an inlet opening 7 in line with the parting plane of the mould, the inner end face 6A of the insert member being bevelled and mating with a corresponding face in the mould. The insert member 6 is located in recesses formed in both mould parts 1, 2 and may be secured to one part by welding or screwing. The mould shown has cavities (3), Figs. 1, 2 (not shown), for moulding a pair of shoe soles.
