Abstract

1280975 Compression moulding GENERAL TIRE & RUBBER CO 23 Feb 1970 [24 Feb 1969] 8650/70 Heading B5A A compression moulding device for plastics material comprising male and female members 2, 18 with a mould cavity 10 therebetween has a flexible seal 24, e.g. of natural or synthetic rubber, therebetween preventing leakage of moulding material during the compression. The extent of mould closure is determined by pads upstanding from the member 2 which abut the member 18. The seal 24 may be in parts, one part mounted on the member 2 and the other part on member 18 which mate when the members come together.
