[Also in Division F1 A spacing seal strip 18 of natural rubber or a synthetic plastics material, and which may be foamed, is moulded between the rims 10 and 12 of sections 6 and 8 of a cylinder head cover by spacing the sections apart after having coated the upper rim face and channel 14 with a bonding agent and the lower rim face and channel 16 with a release agent, placing two side elements to the gap between the sections to define an annular space, and feeding moulding material to the space to fill it. The material may be injected and contain a blowing agent.
