Abstract
1,264,868. Forming yarns. DEUTSCHE RHODIACETA A.G. 19 May, 1969 [18 May, 1968], No. 25417/69. Heading D1F. A fluid nozzle, for producing a twistless yarn with concentrated coherence points of interlaced filaments at spaced intervals along its length, comprises a yarn duct having an inlet, through which a working fluid, such as lowpressure air, is supplied tangentially, and recessed portions so arranged that a standing transverse fluid wave is produced in the duct and acts on a bundle of filaments travelling through the duct to deflect filaments and thereby form the tangled yarn. The tangential air supply may be effected simultaneously at one or more recesses in the same or opposite direction.
