Abstract

1,264,148. Valves. M. BEHR, [trading as SUDDEUTSCHE KUHLERFABRIK JULIUS FR. BEHR]. 19 Feb., 1969 [27 Feb., 1968], No. 9004/69. Heading F2V. Closure plate 5 which is pivoted about an axis 10 to control flow between inlet 3 and outlet 4, is shaped as shown in Fig. 3 to produce a substantially linear relation between the flow quantity and the angular movement of the plate over the initial opening movement of the valve. A spring 19 urges the plate against seat 16 which is provided with a notch (17, Fig. 2, not shown) which determines the effective flow crosssection during the initial movement of plate 5. Rotation of spindle 6 carrying plate 5 is effected by meshing gears 14, 13, and a cable actuated lever 15 secured to gear 13.
