Abstract

1391136 Valves GUSTAV F GERDTS KG 7 Nov 1973 [12 Dec 1972] 51568/73 Heading F2V A tank wagon valve has a first closure member 6 disposed in a lower housing part 1 and operated by a fluid actuator 12 via a valve stem 11 passing through an inlet passage 9 in an upper housing part 2. The latter includes a second closure member 21 series-disposed relative the first between an inlet 5 and an outlet 10, the second closure member being manually operated by a screw threaded spindle 20. A lever 15 intermediate two parts of the stem 11 permits the first closure member to be actuated manually. Surfaces 26, 27 seal the spindle 20 during filling of the tank 3 to which the valve is bolted.
