Abstract

A vehicle headlamp mounting comprises two fastening elements, one element being constructed as a lower support bracket for the reflector on which the reflector can be rotated about an axis running through the connecting point of the other upper fastening element, thus permitting independent adjustment of the reflector on horizontal or vertical axes. The reflector is pivoted on a bolt 10 on the lower support bracket 7 which rests fixedly on the vehicle body by grooves 9 in projections 8 on the bracket, one end of the bracket being threaded to receive the shank of an adjusting bolt which adjusts the reflector about a vertical axis 14 by rotating in a threaded hole in a bracket fixed to the reflector. On this axis 14 the upper fastening element is fixed to the reflector via a nut taking an adjusting bolt for adjustment of the reflector about a horizontal axis. The lamp bulb and lens are attached to the reflector and rotate with it. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown), the bolt 10 is offset to one end of the bracket, and the upper fastening element is also offset to compensate for this.
