Abstract
1,261,652. Piezo-electric generators. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 14 March, 1969 [16 March, 1968], No. 13517/69. Addition to 1,221,701. Heading H2A. In a piezo-electric igniter according to the parent Specification, the insulating sleeve 15 surrounding the, piezo-electric elements 16 is supported relative to the housing 10 at its end adjacent the striker 26 by a rubber ring 23. As shown, the ring 23 abuts a metal disc 24 located against a shoulder 10b in the housing. The return spring 29 for the striker is arranged coaxially with the striker operating spring 28 between the push-button 27 and a fixed flange 31. The striker is returned by engagement of a shoulder 34 on the push-button with a disc 33 on the striker pin. In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 4 (not shown), the striker mechanism and piezo-electric elements are housed in separate casings (40, 45) which are individually mounted so as to be separately replaceable.
