1,261,331. Nozzles. R. J. BAKER. 25 Nov., 1970 [14 Jan., 1970], No. 1804/70. Heading B2F. A pipe nozzle 1, made of a resilient material such as rubber, has within it a ball 7 and a seating 5 forming a valve, liquid supplied to the inlet end 2 of the nozzle through a hose 3 exiting from an orifice or slit 6 when manual pressure is applied externally, as indicated by arrows 9 in the Fig., to the end 4 of the nozzle to force the ball 7 off the seat 5, on which it is normally held by liquid pressure to seal the outlet 6.
