Abstract

1277184 Valves BRITISH LEYLAND (AUSTIN MORRIS) Ltd 19 April 1971 [4 Feb 1970] 5363/60 Heading F2V [Also in Division F4] An air flow passage through an air discharge nozzle 1 is controlled by a tube 9 of resilient, stretchable and air-impermeable material having one end fixed to the nozzle 1 and the other end fixed to a ring 12 which is rotatable relative to the nozzle 1, whereby the tube 9 may be twisted about its longitudinal axis to close the passage. The ring 12 is manually operable by a knob 14. The tube 9 is made of plastics or natural or synthetic rubber of thickness 0À0025 inch.
