Valves closing with rush of fluid.-An automatic air-inlet valve for use on low-pressuresteam heating-systems and of the kind normally held closed by the steam pressure but adapted to be opened by gravity or a spring when the pressure fails, comprises a lift valve member a carried by a hollow spindle a<1> rectangular or triangular in cross section, bored laterally at a<2> and provided with a cross pin c adapted to act as a stop. According to the Provisional Specification, a thermally actuated valve may be arranged alongside the pressure actuated one, or it may form an integral part thereof.
