Abstract

1,260,820. Caps for bottles. J. A. B. AGUIRRE, and J. I. FLORES. 22 April, 1970, No. 19168/70. Heading B8T. A self-opening crown cap has lines of weakness 8 defining a tab 7. An appendage 5 which may be either T-shaped or ring-shaped is riveted to the tab to facilitate its removal. A vinyl plastic gasket may be attached to the top of the cap, and a gasket 3 may be seated inside the cap. Prior to capping the periphery of the top surface may be raised to prevent the appendages 5 tangling inside a capping machine. This raised edge is removed in the capping process.
