[Also in Division A4] A self-cleaning oven has a three parallel part window in the door. A pair of shutters are provided between the two inner window panes, to obscure the window when in the self-cleaning mode, which are interconnected with the latch mechanism such that when the door is latched or unlatched the shutters are closed or opened respectively. The shutters may swing into position by means of a parallelogram linkage, or by cords and pulleys, or multiple shutters may rotate in the manner of venetian blinds. A lost motion linkage between the latch and the shutters allows limited movement of the latch without moving the shutters.
