1,117,012. Movable sealing strips. GRETSCH-UNITAS G.m.b.H. 30 Sept., 1965 [21 Oct., 1964], No. 41527/65. Heading E1J. A weather or draught excluder 14, 15 is movable into and out of a sealing position between a door or the light 3 of a window and its frame 1 by motion derived by a positive linkage from the movement of a locking mechanism 10, 11 (Fig. 6) when fastening or unfastening the door or light 3 in its frame 1. The bar 11 of the mechanism 10, 11 may be in a rail or stile, a pin 22 or roller and a slot 21 acting as coupling elements. The excluder 14, 15 (Fig. 4) is located in a rebate 16, externally covered by a fillet or plate 17, where it is guided by move perpendicularly to the sill, e.g., of the frame 1 and may be received into a slot or groove therein. The rebate 16 may be associated with a casement so mounted in a frame 1 as to be displaceable inward parallel to itself to be offset from the plane of the frame 1. The excluder 14, 15 may be so raised as to clear a rail 13 on the sill for guiding a neighbouring sliding light.
