Abstract

[Also in Division H2] In a cooling system which is disposed on a vehicle, an evaporator blower motor 4 is controlled by switch 3, a switch 5, which responds to the temperature of the evaporator, being closed if cooling power is required. A switch 10 closes at a predetermined condenser temperature whereby condenser blower motors 8, 9, are connected in series. If the condensation temperature exceeds a higher set value, a switch 11 responds to operate a change-over switch 12 so that the motors 8, 9 are connected in parallel for increased ventilation. A further excess temperature switch 14 is adapted to disconnect a solenoid coupling 7 and prevent overloading of the cooling compressor, the solenoid coupling, or the V-belt drive of the vehicle. The switches 10, 11, 14 may be attached to a liquid reservoir. The switch 14 may be replaced by a pressureresponsive switch disposed in a pipe between the condensers and the liquid reservoir.
