Abstract
1,259,782. Zinc base alloy. DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR. April 3, 1969 [May 3, 1968; Dec. 20, 1968], Nos. 21118/68 and 60579/68. Heading C7A. A wrought superplastic quaternary two phase alloy consists of: - Zn 70-82% Al 30-18% to which is added up to 0À25% Mg and up to 2% of Cu, Ni or Ag. The alloy may be homogenized at 280-380‹C. followed by cooling with optional reheating to 275‹C. The micro-structure of the heat-treated alloy may be varied by the rate of cooling.
