The rim d and tyre a may also be secured together, as by a taper-headed bolt m, Fig. 7. Packing-blocks e and fusible cement i fill the intervening spaces. In a modification, Fig. 4, the packing-block c fits into a recess in the rim d. and is bolted to the tyre by bolts g.
