Abstract
1,257,726. Printing apparatus. CHAMBON Ltd. 8 July, 1969 [15 July, 1968], No. 34289/69. Heading B6C. To facilitate replacement of plate cylinder 6 and blanket cylinder 16 by others of different diameter, blanket cylinder 16 and impression cylinder 26 are mounted on a horizontally slidable carriage 19 and impression cylinder 26 is pivoted on the carriage 19. The carriage 19 is moved by screw jacks 38 with respect to the axis of plate cylinder 6 and reaction against screw 66 moves double lever 28 about its pivot 30 on carriage 19. The carriage 19 and lever 28 are duplicated at the other end of the cylinders. Eccentric bushes on shaft 47 allow adjustment for parallelism by their engagement with rotatable bushes and rotation of shaft 47 moves blanket cylinder 16 away. from plate cylinder 6. Screw 66 may be rotated to vary the force with which impression cylinder 26 presses against blanket cylinder 16.
