Vulcanizing materials and compositions.-An accelerator of vulcanization consists of caustic alkali dissolved in an organic compound (other than glycerol or glycol) of predominant hydroxylic character such as butyl or amyl alcohol or phenol. The compounds in question are limited to those that are fluid at the ordinary temperatures or are fusible at about 120‹ C. Specification 110,059 is referred to.
