Abstract

1,256,380. Wrapping machines. INTRA MASCHINENBAU-UND HANDELS G.m.b.H. 12 Dec., 1969 [14 Dec., 1968], No. 60687/69. Heading B8C. In a wrapping machine, a collapsed tubular foil 7 is erected by diverging suction belts 30 and is drawn over a stack of articles 20 on a tray 21 by parallel suction belts 32. The belts 30, 32 are apertured and run over stationary suction boxes 29, 31. The foil 7 is pulled off a reel 6 by driven rollers 12, is tensioned by a floating roller 13, and is guided by roller 15 and guide plates 22, 23 through a welding and cutting station 17. After wrapping the stack may be conveyed to a heater (not shown) for heat shrinking of the foil 7.
