Abstract
1,253,462. Colour television tubes. SONY CORP. 30 May, 1969 [3 June, 1968], No. 27534/69. Heading H1D. A cathode ray tube of the type wherein a plurality of beams are converged on to a main focusing lens L by means which introduces optical aberrations, is characterized in that the optical centre O 1 of lens L is displaced by a small distance d 1 from the convergence centre O 2 so that the lens L substantially compensates for the aberrations. The tube shown is a colour television receiver tube wherein beams from three cathodes K are converged by a lens L<SP>1</SP>, and after diverging from lens L are converged by deflection means F.
