Abstract

1,252,546. Collapsible pontoons. DR.-ING. h.c.F. PORSCHE K.G. 23 April, 1970 [30 May, 1969], No. 19513/70. Heading B7A. Each of the pontoons forming a multiple hull boat comprises a series of detachable water-tight chambers 5, 6 provided with interlocking ribs 15-18 and interconnected by bands 19 which engage channel section grooves 11, 12 crimped around the ends of the containers. Bands 19 comprise rigid portions 20 which support transverse structural tubes 24 and are connected by screw couplings 33, 34 with re-inforced straps 21. The chambers are of either metal or plastics material.
