Abstract

1,252,164. Adjusting vehicle headlamps. PROJECTEURS CIBIE. 14 Nov., 1968 [17 Nov., 1967], No. 54074/68. Addition to 1,171,936. Heading F4R. [Also in Division F2] In an hydraulic arrangement for the automatic control of the inclination of the headlamps of a vehicle as disclosed in the parent Specification the piston 5 of the first actuator is slidable in a housing 1 and engages a diaphragm 10, the end cap 8 and diaphragm of the actuator defining a variable volume chamber 7 and being secured to the housing by means of an anchoring lip 9b on the cap flange 9 which resiliently engages behind a conical ramp 2b on the housing flange 2. All the components may be made of resilient synthetic plastics such as nylon. The actuator is connected at both ends to the hydraulic circuit and the piston operates a connecting rod 13 through a pin 12.
