Abstract
1,247,942. Refractory linings. VEITSCHER MAGNESITWERKE A.G. 6 Jan., 1969 [5 Jan., 1968], No. 748/69. Heading F4B. A refractory lining for a rotary tubular furnace for cement manufacture, is composed of bricks having bevelled edges 1a forming channels which extend from the hot face of the brick to or near to the cold face, in order to form a firm anchorage for securing deposit to the said lining. As shown, the brick comprises a base part B and a top part C defined as regards its height by the bevelled parts 1 The faces 1f and 1g are continued plane from bottom to top. However, the lateral faces in the top part C can be indented (see dotted lines), to form in the lining continuous mutually-intersecting furrows around each brick.
