Abstract
1,245,142. Boxes. MUNKSJO A.B. 15 Oct., 1968 [25 Oct., 1967], No. 48893/68. Heading B8P. A tray-like box is formed from a blank having a base panel 2, end panels 6, and side panels 5 bordered by panels 14 folded to be parallel to the base in the completed box, extension panels 16, 18 joined to side 8 border panels 5, 16 being sandwiched between the end panels 6 and panels 9. The panels 6 have flaps 10 which are folded against the insides of side panels 5. Either of the extension panels 16, 18 may be innermost, and the panels 16 may be gusset panels joining side and end panels 5 and 6, Fig. 13 (not shown). A shoulder 20 may be provided to secure the top border panels 14 and drainage holes 22 may be provided, panels 10 having corresponding recesses 23. The material of the blank is pasteboard &c., preferably having a corrugated waxed layer 1a, Fig. 12, with paper layers 1b, 1c glued to it, these layers being coated and/or impregnated with moisture resistant material, preferably comprising paraffin and polyethane, and at least partly waxed on their faces contacting the corrugated layer.
