1,243,033. Circular waveguides. SIEMENS A.G., and KABELUND METALLWERKE GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE A.G. 1 Nov., 1968 [2 Nov., 1967], No. 51881/68. Heading H1W. A circular waveguide intended for propagation of the H 01 circular-electric mode consists of an electroformed conductive tube enclosed in a transversely-corrugated tube. The inner tube may be made by depositing copper on a steel mandrel. It may have a dielectric lining acting as a mode filter. The corrugated tube may be of steel and the space between the tubes may be filled with a hardenable resin. The corrugated tube may have an anti-corrosive coating of synthetic resin or may be surrounded by a smooth metallic sleeve. The latter may be coated with resin.
