Abstract

1,242,578. Folding paper &c. MASCHINENFABRIK WINKLER FALLERT & CO. A.G. 13 Aug., 1968 [21 Aug., 1967], No. 38609/68. Heading B8R. A web 1 is severed by a rotary cutter 5 into sheets 6 which are guided round a rotary drum 7 to a folding blade cylinder 8 having blades 12, 13 which push the centre of each sheet between one of a plurality of pairs of folding rollers 9 which pass it over deflector plates 10 on to a receiving surface 11 inside the drum, incorporating a conveyer which discharges the folded sheets axially of the drum. Alternatively, the web can be cut into sheets as it passes into the drum.
